Over a hundred years ago, the Baker Farm was home to cows, pigs and chickens. It was one of many farms in the area and now, it is one of the last. We are committed to keeping this historic farm safe so our children can stay connected to the way food is grown and and the important skills of taking care of the land and animals.
In 2021, the farm changed owners and got a new name- Good Grace Farm! Our vision is to continue the legacy of sustainable farming and stewardship of our domestic animals while providing habitat for our native flora and fauna. We invite our community to share in the wonder of growing food and having meaningful connection with our animals. Our mission is to seek joy and offer hope, using horses and horticulture. The way horses respond to and interact with people can be very helpful for those that have experienced trauma. Forming secure attachments and connection with a horse can be a great way to practice attachments with people. The relationships with horses (and any willing farm animal) not only brings joy, but also hope.
